The Real Wayne:
The Innovator Who Started It All

Our business began with Wayne Reaves himself, who held a modest aim to improve his own dealership management.

After beginning his “buy-here / pay-here” dealership in 1973, Reaves had become one of the most successful auto dealers in the southeast. To enable his own growth, he launched his proprietary dealer-management software in 1987. The next year, after being selected as Small Business Owner of the Year, he began training used-car dealers on the most profitable ways to run a buy-here / pay-here operation.

The enthusiastic acceptance of Wayne’s software program enabled him to expand his classes throughout the southeast, thereby helping dealers make more money the Wayne Reaves way. As the internet became ever more important to the success of auto dealerships, he continually enhanced his software programs, then later expanded his service offerings to include websites. Eventually, the success of the software business prompted Wayne to close his dealership and focus on the software.

Over the years, the software Wayne created evolved into a robust suite of software tools for auto dealers to empower growth and streamline processes. Wayne’s family business became a 40+ employee success story, and his legacy lives on as we continue to support auto dealers across the country.

Pioneering for the Future of Auto

Today, Wayne’s son Jason serves as President of Wayne Reaves, leading the organization to new heights as an industry leader. Jason also serves as Chairman of the Used Car Board for the state of Georgia and as a Board Member for the Georgia Independent Automobile Dealers Association (GIADA).

Thanks to the forward-thinking leadership of both Wayne and Jason Reaves, the Wayne Reaves business is a mainstay in the auto industry. While we’ve moved through many iterations of our software, our current version is the latest example of our commitment to continuous improvement and evolution.
